Kuvasz

Kuvaszok, Hungarian Kuvasz

History

The Kuvasz's is originally from Tibet, but was most purely bred in Hungary. They have dated back to the 9th century. The name comes from the Turkish work "kawasz", which means armed guyard of nobility. Kuvaszok were dogs of royalty in Hungary and Europe and later were used to work with sheep and cattle.

Large in size, sturdy, balanced, all white, muscular, beautiful head

Color and Coat

Double coated with medium coarse outer hair. The coat can be wavy or straight and should be all white.
