History

The Bracco Italiano is a rare breed used as a gun dog in Italy. The history goes back centuries and came from the regions of Piedmont and Lombardy.

Appearance

Powerful, lean and muscular, large pale nose, submissive eyes, large ears, docked tail. Resemble a cross of Bloodhound and German Shorthaired Pointer.

Color and Coat

The colors of the Bracco Italiano are White-Orange (Bianco-Arancio), Roano-Brown (Roano-Marrone), chestnut and amber. The coat is short and glossy.
