History

The Bearded Collie is one of Britains oldest dog breed and was used to herd animals in Scotland. They were originally bred in Central Europe and were called the Highland Collie.

Appearance

A working dog, agile, medium sized, medium length coat, strong, large affectionate eyes, ears covered in hair

Color and Coat

Double coat with a shaggy, flat ourtercoat. The coat should look natural and not trimmed. The head looks shaggy, but not overly. The common colors are gray, black, silver, chocolate, sandy, blue, or fawn. They can have markings in color.
