History

The Norwegian Lundehund was used to retrieve Puffin birds in Norway. They are said to date back to the 1500s and are rare today.

Appearance

Resembles a small Spitz type breed, 6 toes per foot, triangular ears that fold down or back, wedge shaped head that they can lean all the way back to rest on their back

Color and Coat

They have a double coat with harsh outer fur. The colors can be red-brown to tan with white, red or dark markings.
